Solo Traveler | Adventure Seeker | Travel Writer
My writing spawned from an idea to keep busy which became the catalyst and reason to face my fear of traveling alone and managing to do so while keeping my full time job. I feel that life shouldn’t be taken too seriously all the time. I also believe in saying “yes” to opportunities that are presented to you. A few other things I believe in:
- I believe we should all take time in our lives to see how other people live and experience different cultures, and make friends across the globe.
- I believe that it is very possible to keep a full-time job and find time to travel.
- I believe that everyone should not be afraid to travel solo.
- I believe that people should have inspiration to propel them to conquer their dreams and their fears.
- I believe that everyone deserves respect and love and every opportunity to smile.
- I also believe in flowers, smiles and cappuccino’s to cheer up just about anyone.
So who am I?
My name is Natalia, but you can call me Talia!
Currently an American expat in Hamburg, Germany. It all started when I moved away…ok, not really. I had the idea of writing while I was still living in New York City as a way to not alienate myself from the world while I worked insane hours, as most New Yorkers do.
My passion for travel started thanks to my parents by sending my sister and myself to their Mother Land in Eastern Europe every summer. Which would explain why I was thoroughly convinced I was born at an airport. The wanderlust and travel itch haven’t eased up a bit. Although, I don’t want to quit my job (not yet at least) to travel I want to help inspire people like you to manage your day job and realize your travel dreams.
I travel to both popular, lesser known and uncharted places in the world searching for unique adventures that are non-tourist traditional in hopes of seeing a place with a different perspective. A few other things about me to hopefully prove I’m just as human as you are (and because I know you’re curious):
My 9-5 is being a fashion designer and traveler by weekend (duh!). I’m a celiac. I’m also a Third Culture kid. I am a quintessential right-brained creative. I’m a Colorado native. I’m an extrovert. I live in color. I laugh too much and usually at inappropriate times. My imagination has no limits. I’m emotional. Curiosity fuels my adventures. I see the glass as half-full. I’m an excellent multi-tasker. I enjoy being around people. I’m an avid note-taker. I love dancing Argentine Tango. My dream trip would be to Argentina and polish my dancing skills. I conquer my fears head-on. I never give up. I’m an excellent charades player. I never stop smiling. I always pack my suitcase at the last possible moment (much to the dismay of my mother). I love my dog more than most people would understand. I thrive in some what stressful situations and to me, nothing is black and white.
If you don’t know where to start from here…head over to the Start Here page and that should help which way you want to go around my blog.
